Goodbye Michael Jackson... :(

Where to start?! I was in our living room cleaning and I had the TV in the morning room on and I heard, "Jackson dead"...and my first thought was, "Oh my, Joe Jackson must have died, how sad!" Well, I turned the TV in the living room on so I could hear it and I saw it was Micheal Jackson and my jaw dropped! I am 41 and I have loved Michael's music since I was a little girl. My fondest memory was when the Thriller video came out. I was 16 at that time and I was over my cousin Rosie's house as our parents had all gone out for the evening and MTV was just about to release the Thriller video and we were glued to that TV set! It was awesome, we absolutely loved it, as did the rest of the world!

I have always been a fan, even when they accused him of child molestation! To me he didn't look like a guilty man, he looked like a sad, broken man due to being wrongfully accused. I do not believe for one second he ever touched a child inappropriately!!!

And if he did that is now between him and God...

The Memorial Service today was beautiful! I am still blown away by how huge this was, I have never seen anything like it as I am sure others have not either.

I was touched when his little girl spoke, bless her heart for doing that, it must have been so very hard on her. :( I am sure her Daddy is very proud of her and looked down on her with a big smile on his face! And I hope his kids stay with his Mom and not go to that Debbie Rowe!! I hope the courts do NOT rule in her favor!!!

I feel so very sad that he is gone! :( I know a lot of people think he is odd, strange, unusual, etc., but who cares?! He was an amazingly talented man who brought so much to us with his music!

A Few New Products, Life, and Etsy Finds

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the early spring! Our weather here in Ohio can't make up its mind if it wants to stay winter or become spring! ;) I sure wish I had more time to blog, I feel bad about not being able to blog more...

We have a few new products since the last time I blogged. First, our Brown Sugar Lip Scrub...we have had this for a few months now but I am just getting around to blogging it now. So we have had quite the month. My husband had to be rushed to the hospital and he almost died and to make a long story short we found out he was in chronic heart failure and atrial fibrillation! We had no idea and we had been to our family doctor 3 or 4 times about his swelling issue and breathing issue and she kept brushing it off to peripheral edema and grief since he lost his Mom a year ago. When we researched his symptoms online it was all pointing to heart failure, kidney failure, or liver failure. Turns out what we had read was right on and our family doc was wrong, very wrong and it could have cost him his life! Grrrrrrr What makes me even more upset is we specifically asked her if this could be one of those three major illnesses and she said, "No." Grrrrrrrrr

He is doing so much better now and he gets around but he still wears oxygen at night and takes 10 pills a day and will have to do that the rest of his life. It has been so hard and I feel so sad for him. :(

I closed my web site and just keep our Etsy shop going and our wholesale accounts since all three were too too much with home schooling Mieya and taking care of Darrell. I also no longer take custom orders since I don't have the free time I once did. I close our Etsy shop from Sunday evening to Tuesday evening just to take a little break and to catch up on paperwork, leaving feedback, making goodies/decorating them, and cleaning my house! ;) I really look forward to those two days a week now. I was doing the work of three people and I am only one person so this has helped tremendously but I am still too busy and trying to find that balance between work and life. I haven't found it yet but I will keep looking for it. ;)

Hello Neglected Blog + Cupcakes Cupcakes

Hello Hello! It has been a while again. I try so hard to find extra time so I can blog but it has been pretty crazy busy around here!

Mieya has been doing great, she is absorbing everything she is learning like a sponge and it is so fantastic to see! She is growing up so fast, too fast, I often wish we could freeze time so she could stay little a lot longer. ;)

Darrell hasn't been feeling well so we are seeing the cardio doctor this week to see what the heck is going on! We are praying his symptoms are perhaps a side effect of a medicine, but from what we have read we are not so sure.

I have been hanging in there too. I am trying to find a happy medium with my business and my home life so my entire days after home schooling Mieya are not spent just working. I really miss having time to do things. That is absolutely going to change for the late spring and summer, life is too short to work 24/7!

On to business - we have a few new products and more to come when I get the time to make them, take pictures of them, and list them. I had to close my web site to catch up on orders and I think I am just going to keep it closed until summer as it is too hard to try to run that plus our wholesale accounts and Etsy all while home schooling Mieya. I just cannot handle it all anymore and believe me I wish I could but there are not enough hours in the days! ;)
